The pictures are awful because I keep my office dimly lit.

Nice! I keep my toys on a shelf behind me so I don’t get too distracted. My wife buys the Lego cars for me as gifts. She’s the best.

It would take me over an hour to clean up this mess of a desk for a pic . It ain’t happenin’!

I didn’t think about the pen holder, but it’s very oppo, I think! I have a matching tool chest on my bookcase , wider, with a hinged top and wheels, for misc desk stuff.
In addition to the obvious hydration purpose, the Hydro + the water cooler elsewhere in the office help keep me productive at home by keeping me at my desk and away from distraction.

Got this all done for my home office recently.
It looked like a hoarder lived there until a week and a half ago.

I’m in the middle of several projects, including getting my house built, but I love my setup, even if it doesn’t look all that great. 15" Velodyne sub hiding under the table on the left.

I think I’ll pick up more of those, but I don’t know which brands are best yet.

SpaceNavigator! I love mine. I bought it back when I was designing home theaters in Sketchup, and have held onto it all these years. I love the thing. And, back then it was only $40 or something silly. Still worth the money at 3x the price.

Someone that knows what that is! When I break out a SpaceNavigator on a plane or in a Starbucks, I get “is that a mouse?” a lot.
I’m a little embarrassed to admit I own 3. This one, a cordless version for traveling “heavy” and the small, corded travel version for traveling light. I’m ridiculous .
I first used this type of thing ~15 years ago, when they were rubber balls on sticks, and connected to a serial port. I simply can’t work without one, although maybe because my cad tool of choice has an ... um, unique interface .

This is an awesome setup! Once in a while I contemplate a proper received or amp / preamp for my desk, but have so far managed to resist temptation.

Jealous of the screen real estate!
Do you use the upper, large screen as your primary focus / input display or to display video or something you watch and then work / input on one of the other screens? (I know that’s a strangely worded question - struggling to type what I’m thinking!)

Once my the house is finished and I have space again, the amp will be moved to the living room to a 2.1 channel setup , and the current speakers will be replaced with active studio monitors once again. The little NHT SuperZero’s have been great, but they are undersized for organ music.

Organ music! Ummm, yeah, you need serious cone real estate and power for organ music. The stereo downstairs has small- ish maggies, driven by an arc welder of an amp, but they just don’t do justice to organ music.

funny thing, I work on a operations infra team, so the windows and tabs get moved around all over the place. It’s actually worked well for meeting screen shares from others, it allows me to slack while looking at lots of chat history, check my ever-growing outlook inbox, etc etc.
Everything moves around depending on the work context, but I have left one right now running terminal shells, the right one rolling most of the browser tabs I need, the mid one for text editing/coding or screen shotting, and the top one for supplementary data.
Hope that answers your question! In Ops, you need 4 monitors or you’ll forget what you’re doing.

I had some SMG a Magnepan speakers for a while, usually hooked up to a tube amp. That wasn’t a very good combo. They sounded cool with certain types of music, but the amp just wasn’t enough. I just auditioned some Klipsch La Scala speakers (no sub) and they have the sound I’m looking for. They are pretty sensitive and don’t need a lot of power, and they have a large sound stage and have done the best justice to organ music recordings yet. They do need a sub, as they roll off at 51Hz.
I’ll be in CA next week and will have a chance to hear a different set of La Scala’ s in a bigger room and they will have a couple subs hooked up. I’m excited. The first pair I heard triggered a gestalt-like reaction, similar to what I experience when playing the organ or listening to organ music live in concert, so something great is happening with those speakers.

My work setup. In the lower picture on the lower shelf, that is my great uncle shaking hands with Babe Ruth (not long before he died) . Uncle Joey was mayor of Oakland, CA at the time.
